Disney as a media conglomerate

In my opinion Disney is the biggest media conglomerates and has so many different aspects that set it apart from the other media conglomerates. Disney is one of the most well known companies in the world and is mainly known for their movies and hit tv shows. Right now you can't get through a single day without hearing about either Hannah Montana, the Jonas Brothers or High School Musical. You very rarely ever hear about Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network anymore because of Disney. They know what they're doing and know how to be successful and it shows.
You can see how much Disney has changed even in the past 15-20 years. Classic Disney movies are cartoons like Snow White, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, etc. Then Disney bought out Pixar and started movies like Toy Story leading to movies like Finding Nemo. They're also turning their TV shows into movies like the Hannah Montana craze.
The Disney Channel is the only channel on TV that doesn't have commericals promoting anything other than the company itself. You never see advertisements for anything other than something Disney related, usually about a new movie or a new show never anything like the commercials you see on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network.
The main problem I see with Disney being such a huge media conglomerate is that no one knows how many other companies they will continue to buy one. The more successful they become the less competition there is and the more controlled things might become. It might get to the point where there are too many sources giving the same information because Disney will be in charge of so many things
